I do like an oatmeal stout...milk stout is lovely too but if it's been lying around in a barrel for too long then your innards are going to see hell.
Otherwise, London Pride or Estrella Galicia.

Actually really enjoy a pint of Neck Oil (IPA)... comes in a cracking glass as well

It would be mate, it’s the same product
Back in the day I had good business with the Guinness Park Royal brewery, they routinely tanked to Ireland and visa versa subject to local demand
Inbound distributed alongside local at each end
Since Park Royal closed it’s all produced in Dublin, so clearly all down to the last 30ft of the supply chain - cellar to urinal

Got to agree. Pubs that serve a lot of Guinness tend to do a decent pint.
The best I've had in London is at The Toucan, and as you say, as good as anything I've had in Ireland.

Lal Toofan is the best beer I've had for a curry.
Only ever found it in Teddington, and I live a long way from there now. :-(

Old Peculiar is horrible.
This opinion may be due to the fact that the last time I had it, it was the thirteenth pint of thirteen.
I enjoyed the other twelve, which weren't Old Peculiar.

Guinness,
Is my pint of choice but as most pubs beers need be pored regularly to be at their best.
Been to Ireland dozens of times and providing Guinness poured is popular and poured very regularly and well I can’t tell the difference between pints poured in London or Ireland.
